Dad,
Thanks very much. The two comments on Joe 10 Blending together and the Tools/Books referance have been expressed by others, so I suppose I should listen up. The Name thing I plan to change. The tools and books… I’m not sure about. For the most part (Oh yeah, the original plan was going to be “Joe 10 & Associates” but I decided toi wait until I had some associates, so I also want to change “Books WE Use and “How to Contact US” to reflect “I” and “me”.) I’m going to be reviewing books on computer stuff, so I kind of ranked them with tools. The tools thing is so I don’t have to put an ugly list of “plug-ins you need to view this site” on a “HOME” page.

I’ll have to think it over as I develop the contact. The speed problem is a bit odd, as the apges are really quite lite by any standards. The individual buttons are less than 1k which should add up to 1 second each on a 14.4 modem + the size of the text; another 6 or 7 k. Well there’s something called “network latency” which is the internets time to process commands which varies with time of day, load etc. and factors such as Server Load which impact speed.

Hows other things? Painting. FYI, tomorrow (the 29th) is P. Reglis Birthday. He can be reached at 011 39 10 247 11 32, 011 being int’l access code.

Heard from Sam?

Hope all’s well. Very busy. Just finished The site for the record company Lisa works at (http://www.hos.com) and got design aproval on the B of A job, so I’m moving forward with that. Other work looming too, so I’ll be lucky to ever finish my own make-over. The tech edit is in full swing, reviewing a chapter every 2 or 3 days. They seem to like my comments and are threatening to send more work my way. Peter Small is in motion too, and I’m trying to make time to read over his updated stuff. Must be something els…

Thanks again for the input

Love,

Joe
